Manufacturing

Turn components into finished goods — bills of materials, manufacturing orders and work orders, with stock and cost flowing through automatically.

The Manufacturing app builds product. Define what goes into a finished good with a bill of materials, raise a manufacturing order to make it, and Quelixa consumes the components, produces the output and values both — all as tracked inventory moves.

The bill of materials#

A bill of materials (BoM) is the recipe: the components and quantities that make one unit of a finished product. It's the backbone of everything else here.

  1. Define the BoM

Under Manufacturing → Products → Bills of Materials, list the components and quantities for the finished product. Add operations if you track work steps.

  2. Raise a manufacturing order

To build stock, create a manufacturing order (MO) for a quantity. Quelixa reserves the components from Inventory.

  3. Produce

Mark the order done. Components are consumed, the finished product is added to stock, and the cost rolls up from the components into the finished good.

Cost rolls up automatically

The manufactured product's value is the sum of the components consumed (plus any operation costs you track). That cost posts to inventory valuation, so your balance sheet reflects real production cost.

Work orders & routings#

For multi-step production, add operations to the BoM — cut, assemble, test — each at a work centre. The MO then generates work orders the shop floor can start, pause and complete, giving you a live view of what's in progress and where.

| Concept | Meaning | | --- | --- | | Work centre | A machine or station where an operation happens. | | Operation | A step in the routing (with expected duration). | | Work order | An operation to perform for a specific MO. |

Components and replenishment#

If a component is short when you raise an MO, Quelixa's replenishment can propose the purchase or sub-assembly needed to cover it — so production isn't blocked by a missing part you forgot to order.

Plan capacity with Insight

Insight · Fusion Manufacturing feeds the operations dashboards with throughput, work-centre load and order lead times. Nova · Aurora Ask the concierge which orders are at risk of missing their date.
